Couple of solid days

Had two good solid returns over the last two days. Reasonable sized fields combined with reasonable quality racing I suspect are two of the main reasons for my profits. I am seeing a trend here in that if there are mostly low class races on any given day, my returns suffer because of it.

I took the time earlier to sit down and go through my previous selections for July so far and one thing, apart from low grade racing being poor on the pocket, is that short sprint races are just too volatile, market wise, to be getting involved in, especially in running. Most of my 'mistakes' have come in 5 and 6 furlong races so I need to tread carefully with these from now on. This might seem obvious to those with in running nous and yes, its something that I have suspected for a while myself ... its when I see it in plain black and white that it becomes glaringly obvious that these types of races need to be avoided.

Im pretty happy overall with the months performance so far and apart from the above I cannot see any other obvious failings with my methods. I failed to get price matched on about ten percent of races which would have returned even more profit, had they been matched... I may look at tweaking my entry points to counteract this.. I think, just for now, I will leave well enough alone.

Ok... gotta go look at the cards for today.

Good luck all.
