Yesterday was unusual for me.
I normally have a dreadfull time of it on Fridays.. don't really know why. I do things no differently than the norm but consistantly struggle to stay in the game. This Friday, I just could not put a foot wrong. Out of two dozen plays, I had one losing one to end the day over $600 ahead.
The thing that beats me is how come on other days I can use exactly the same methods and come up well short, even or a just a little ahead?? I guess thats the gamble of it all even though I don't really feel that I am gambling as I know I won't lose my bank... well I could... but it would take a statistically impossible amalgamation of events to do so.
Nice to see the Aussie horses do well last night allthough the one I fancied, Nicconi, never got the run of the race. Ah well.... such is horseracing. Mr Murtagh rode a fantastic strong race on the favourite ... nice of the stewards to give him several days off to spend his winnings!!
Anyway.. on to today (tonight, Aussie time). A good friend of mine is turning forty today so we will be heading out on the beer later. No racing for me today!
