I Don't Believe It !

Victor Melldrum.... a classic line and from one of my favourite shows. Last night I failed to select ONE winning play and all that kept coming into my head was a vision of Victor saying that immortal line over and over again.

I was fortunate in a way, as I had made the descision to only play the first five races so ending up with a small loss after five was probably the lesser of all evils on what was probably a poor enough day for my style of play. If I don't get near the odds I like on the win lay market, I often play the place lay one, generally to pretty fair success.... not last night. Animals that normally wouldn't place in a one horse race were racing out of their skins once my lay money went on them... I often think that theres some guy at the end of a computer screen at Betfair HQ waiting for me to lay a selction and then, just for a laugh, he manipulates the in running market to show my selection racing towards 1.01, giving me heart failure.... of course as soon as I try to trade out on some other animal, he (having another laugh) changes the market to show my initial selection heading rapidly towards 1000!!
Ah well, such is the life of an inrunning player... never a dull moment with lots and lots of "I Don't Believe It".

I haven't had a chance to even look at tonights racing but am having the morning off tomorrow, so I will have a good shot at a few races later.

Be good!

By the way... loss of $152 last night... not too critical.. could be worse.
